Gist of Idea
Empiricism contains the important idea that we should see knowledge for ourselves, and be part of it

A Reaction
Like Idea 15619, this is an interesting and perceptive remark, from a philosopher who seems a long way from empiricism. I presume he will be thinking mainly of Hume, via Kant. Personally I prefer Locke.
